One month till take off

It is about a month until Kim and I fly out of Chicago to London, England carrying backpacks that will for sure weigh more than they should. I could not be more excited and the anticipation is killing me. Like many amazing things in life, I know time will fly by faster than the blink of an eye. Since I was in high school everyone has always told me, "travel now while you can, you won't get this opportunity with a full-time job". Needless to say, after applying for jobs over the past couple of months and seeing those "real people job" hours, I now understand! I continue to prepare myself for such a long journey and just a small backpack to carry my life in (?), how will Kim Vawter do it?! We have been researching various hostels, destinations and things to do but, for the most part, we plan to fly by the seat of our pants. I expect the stories and photos to be endless and extreme and I hope to update you if I ever find time to distract myself from Europe's crazy adventures. Any advice from personal experience or stories from friends before our departure would be greatly appreciated.
